The goal of this study is to develop a new effective guar gum-grafted acrylamide hydrogel for wastewater treatment, abbreviated as (guar gum-g-acrylamide). For the non-biodegradable and hazardous synthetic acid red 8, the produced guar gum-g-acrylamide hydrogel is a promising thermally stable adsorbent. Microwave-aided technique, ammonium persulfate initiator, and N,N′-methylene-bis-acrylamide cross-linker are used to make a hydrogel comprising natural polysaccharides guar gum grafted by poly acrylamide. Fourier transformer infrared (FTIR) spectra and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) demonstrate that varied percentages of acrylamide successfully graft the backbone of guar gum.

Electroconductive scaffolds based on polyaniline (PANi)/polyacrylonitrile (PAN) were fabricated and surface-functionalized by carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC) as efficient scaffolds for nerve tissue regeneration. The results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and water contact angle measurement approved the successful fabrication of CMC-functionalized PANi/PAN-based scaffolds. Human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hADMSCs) were cultured on the scaffolds for 10 d in the presence or absence of β-carotene (βC, 20 µM) as a natural neural differentiation agent. The MTT and SEM results confirmed the attachment and proliferation of hADMSCs on the scaffolds.

People in Indonesia, particularly members of Generation Z, frequently struggle to manage their financial situation both now and in the future. The problem is brought on by a lack of understanding of financial investments. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the financial standing of Generation Z. A questionnaire with 100 respondents was employed in this investigation. In this study, financial attitudes serve as the independent variable, financial management serves as the intervention variable, and financial satisfaction serves as the dependent variable. A Likert scale was utilized as the measurement in the quantitative research technique. In this work, structural equation modeling (SEM) and SmartPLS software were utilized to process the data. The financial attitude variable ha...

Poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT)-based semiconducting electrospun nanocomposite fibrous emitters were successfully fabricated by combining P3HT with poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and commercially available CsPbBr3 perovskite quantum dots (PQDs). The latter were employed as a synergistic photoluminescence emitter of high efficiency within the P3HT/PEO blended polymer matrix, while PEO was used as an auxiliary polymer to assist the electrospinnability of P3HT. The produced materials were characterized with respect to their chemical composition and morphology by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy/energy-dispersive x-ray analysis (TEM/EDX) whereas fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy were employed to study their optical properties.

The presented research investigates MAR-M247® Ni-based superalloy castings produced via directional solidification at various mold preheating temperatures (1510, 1566 °C) and withdrawal rates (3.4, 5.0 mm/min). Casting analyses were carried out via thermodynamic simulations, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), light microscopy (LM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM), and tensile testing. On DSC curve, four effects have been registered during cooling: liquidus (1337 °C), formation of eutectic γ − γ′ (1315 °C), precipitation of Ni7(Hf, Zr)2 (1244 °C), and M5B3 borides (1201 °C). The castings’ primary and secondary dendrite arm spacing decreases with increasing w...
