dc.description.abstractEnglish speaking skills are considered as the most challenging skill with all most of learners. The study is interested in the difficulties in learning English . Speaking skills of first-year major students at Phenikaa University. The main purpose of the research is to find out the difficulties in learning English Speaking skills among students and provide some strategies to help students overcome difficulties. The tool used for collection data in the research is a questionnaire. The questionnaire was designed for first-year English majors and specifically, 132 students at the Phenikaa University participated in the survey. The results show that learners encounter many difficultiesin learning listening skills, divided into 5 main categories: challenges related to vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, linking words, and learning environment. Furthermore, the study has found some strategies to help students overcome the difficulties and improve their English-Speaking learning.vi
