    In this paper, we introduce a mobile application called CarSafe, in which data from the acceleration sensor integrated on smartphones is exploited to come up with an efficient classification algorithm. Two statuses, "Driving" or "Not driving," are monitored in the real-time manner. It enables automatic actions to help the driver safer. Also, from these data, our software can detect the crash situation. The software will then automatically send messages with the user's location to their emergency departments for timely assistance. The application will also issue the same alert if it detects a driver of a vehicle driving too long. The algorithm's quality is assessed through an average accuracy of 96.5%, which is better than the previous work (i.e., 93%).

    In this paper, we study a non-canonical extension of a supergravity-motivated model acting as a vivid counterexample to the cosmic no-hair conjecture due to its unusual coupling between scalar and electromagnetic fields. In particular, a canonical scalar field is replaced by the string-inspired Dirac–Born–Infeld one in this extension. As a result, exact anisotropic inflationary solutions for this Dirac–Born–Infeld model are figured out under a constant-roll condition. Furthermore, numerical calculations are performed to verify that these anisotropic constant-roll solutions are indeed attractive during their inflationary phase.

    Misinformation detection in Online Social Networks has recently become a critical topic due to its important role in restraining misinformation. Recent studies have showed that machine learning methods can be used to detect misinformation/fake news/rumors by detecting user’s behaviour. However, we can not implement this strategy for all users on a social network due to the limitation of budget.     Joint radar and communication (JRC) has recently attracted substantial attention. The first reason is that JRC allows individual radar and communication systems to share spectrum bands and thus improves the spectrum utilization. The second reason is that JRC enables a single hardware platform, e.g., an autonomous vehicle or a UAV, to simultaneously perform the communication function and the radar function.     The use of geopolymer concrete (GPC) in common load-bearing structures is still limited, mainly due to the lack of specific design procedures and limited understanding of the stress–strain behavior under uniaxial loading. The present work investigates the mechanical responses of GPC under axial compressive load by conducting a large number of experiments. For this purpose, 198 samples with three GPC mixes were designed, including concrete grades of 30, 40, and 50 MPa. The samples were prepared following the ASTM standards to determine the stress–strain relationship under compression.     In our search for novel small molecules activating procaspase-3, we have designed and synthesized two series of novel (E)-N'-arylidene-2-(2-oxoindolin-1-yl)acetohydrazides (4) and (Z)-2-(5-substituted-2-oxoindolin-1-yl)-N'-(2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene)acetohydrazides (5). Cytotoxic evaluation revealed that the compounds showed notable cytotoxicity toward three human cancer cell lines: colon cancer SW620, prostate cancer PC-3, and lung cancer NCI-H23. Especially, six compounds, including 4f–h and 4n–p, exhibited cytotoxicity equal or superior to positive control PAC-1, the first procaspase-3 activating compound.     We report on the magnetic properties of biphase iron oxide nanorods (NRs) consisting of ferrimagnetic Fe3O4 and antiferromagnetic α-Fe2O3 phases. Annealing as-prepared NRs at 250 °C for 5h, significantly improved the crystallinity of the Fe3O4 phase and enhanced the volume fraction of the α-Fe2O3 phase. Magnetometry data consistently reveal these two magnetically distinct phases, which are not in proximity to each other but separated by a region of disordered spins giving rise to enhanced magnetization at low temperatures when the sample was cooled down from 300 K in the presence of a 1T field to 10 K.
