This graduation paper provides English learners with a solid foundation of knowledge about passive sentence structures used in English and Vietnamese and aims to find the similarities and differences about passive sentences in both languages. The research focuses on analyzing and applying passive sentence structures through the famous literary work “After Twenty Years”. This is an effective way to help learners gain a deeper understanding of passive sentence structures. Furthermore, it also encourages them to use passive sentence structures in speaking and writing to make their speeches and writing more clear, in-depth, and quotable. |
This graduation paper examines the effects of English songs on improving listening skills among third-year English majors at Phenikaa University. This study employs quantitative and qualitative methods through questionnaires with 100 participants, the research explores students' perceptions and experiences of using English songs to enhance listening skills. The findings reveal that a majority of students believe using songs in listening practice is highly effective. The study concludes that using English songs is an effective tool for improving students' listening skills and offers recommendations for both teachers and students on incorporating this method, suggesting directions for future research. |

The main purpose of the research is to find out the difficulties in learning English Reading skills of first-year English majors at Phenikaa University. The tool used for collection data in the research is a questionnaire. The questionnaire was designed for first-year English majors and specifically, 120 students at the Phenikaa University participated in the survey. The results show that learners encounter many difficulties in learning Reading skills, divided into 5 main categories: unknown words, text coverage, background knowledge, organization structure, grammar, others (motivation, timing, strategies, materials). In addition, the study has suggested some strategies to help students overcome the difficulties and improve their Reading skills. |

The importance of this topic in language learning is to help students understand more about the structure and meaning of language and how linguistic elements are used to convey emotion and meaning.
