    This study aims to investigate the effects of English Songs on learning English pronunciation of the first-year English majors at Phenikaa University. The participants of this study included the first-year English majors of Phenikaa University. The study data was collected from a Google form questionnaire which was delivered to 272 first-year English majors, and 15 volunteered first-year English majors were interviewed for more in-depth data. Basing on the findings, the researchers proposed some recommendations for students on how to use English songs as a tool to improve pronunciation. Recommendations for future research were also included.

    This graduation paper aims to study the difficulties in improving pronunciation of first-year English majors at Phenikaa University. The purpose of the research is to clarify the factors first-year students face in practising pronunciation and the difficulties in improving pronunciation. The research results show the importance of English pronunciation and suggest effective methods to help students improve their pronunciation, thereby improving their ability to communicate in English more confidently and accurately.

    After completing 9-12 years of English education in schools in Vietnam, individuals often face challenges in communication and vocabulary upon entering a new university setting, that is mainly due to the traditional teaching methods, which often rely on learning vocabulary or grammar, can make learning English more challenging for students because they can feel bored.     This graduation paper provides English learners with a solid foundation of knowledge about passive sentence structures used in English and Vietnamese and aims to find the similarities and differences about passive sentences in both languages. The research focuses on analyzing and applying passive sentence structures through the famous literary work “After Twenty Years”. This is an effective way to help learners gain a deeper understanding of passive sentence structures. Furthermore, it also encourages them to use passive sentence structures in speaking and writing to make their speeches and writing more clear, in-depth, and quotable.

    The main purpose of the research is to find out the listening comprehension challenges among second-year English majors at Phenikaa University and provide some strategies to help students overcome difficulties. The tool used for collection data in the research is a questionnaire.     The study was conducted to discover common mistakes in the speaking performance of first-year English major students at Phenikaa University. Data was collected through students’ recordings and questionnaires. The results show the common mistakes students make and the causes that lead to the mistakes. In summary, there are two types of common mistakes that students make, which are related to grammar and pronunciation. The study also explores several causes of common mistakes in English speaking performance, including inappropriate pronunciation, lack of vocabulary, grammar, practice, preparation, weak listening ability, and lack of motivation for communicating in English.
