    This present research aims to develop understanding of a particular student’s performance and to identify the differences between the use of strategies between groups of students. Adopting quantitative method, it was found that the most frequent vocabulary learning strategies that learners employed belonged to the cognitive category. The study also revealed that weak students have little or no information on highly interacting means like Flashcards and interaction with native speakers while the average and good students are more perceptive in this utilization.     The study was conducted to discover common mistakes in the speaking performance of first-year English major students at Phenikaa University. Data was collected through students’ recordings and questionnaires. The results show the common mistakes students make and the causes that lead to the mistakes. In summary, there are two types of common mistakes that students make, which are related to grammar and pronunciation. The study also explores several causes of common mistakes in English speaking performance, including inappropriate pronunciation, lack of vocabulary, grammar, practice, preparation, weak listening ability, and lack of motivation for communicating in English.

    The main goal of this research is to pinpoint and examine mistakes made by fourth year students majoring in English at Phenikaa University.     The study on “A Study on Common Mistakes in Pronunciation by the First-year English Majors at Phenikaa University ” concentrates on investigating common pronunciation mistakes of First-year English Majors at Phenikaa university. Data were collected from two research methods including a questionnaire and an interview. Additionally, the study also analyzes different factors influencing students' pronunciation accuracy. Finally, the study proposes some learning and teaching strategies to enhance students' English pronunciation ability.

    This research uses a survey questionnaire and semi-constructed interview to obtain data about the difficulties students have when writing academic essays and to provide particular solutions to help them improve their writing skills. Particularly, this study assesses students perceptions of the most common mistakes they make in such different stages of writing academic essays as planning, drafting, and revising.     This graduation paper investigates the difficulties in learning English speaking skills of the third-year English majors at Phenikaa University. The study aims to clarify the challenges encountered by third-year English majors in speaking skills and possible solutions to overcome these difficulties and improve their speaking skills.     This present research aims to find out the extent to which the dictation method enhances listening comprehension among third year English majors of Phenikaa University. With an evaluation method that has been scaled up, the study’s objectives will try to establish the effects that dictation exercises have on the comprehension of spoken English among students.
